PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 2024-25 IS AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT TO ENTER INTO SUB-SUBLEASE WITH HG PINES, LLC; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. On June 11, 2024, the City and HG Pines, LLC entered into an Agreement to Enter into Sub-Sublease.
2. On September 18, 2024, the City Commission approved the First Amendment to Agreement to Enter into Sub-Sublease in order to extend the Review Period under the Original Agreement.
3. The City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of the public to approve and authorize the execution of the Second Amendment to the Agreement to Enter into Sub-Sublease with HG Pines, LLC.
4. Request Commission to pass Proposed Ordinance No. 2024-25 on Second Reading. Second and Final Reading has been tentatively scheduled for November 20, 2024.
