PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO. 2025-R-01 IS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A NON-EXCLUSIVE EASEMENT GRANTED TO FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY TO PROVIDE ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO THE WILLIAM B. Summary Explanation and Background
SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. Florida Power & Light Company (“FPL”) has requested a 10 foot wide easement from the City of Pembroke Pines(“City”) for the installation of a primary power cable to provide electrical service to the William B. Armstrong Dream Park.
2. FPL requires that a customer desiring electrical service must provide FPL access and rights-of-way which in the opinion of FPL are necessary for the rendering of service to the customer.
3. The City has the authority to grant such rights, easements, permits and privileges and it is found that it is necessary for the protection of the City and the public for the City to grant FPL an easement for the purposes mentioned above.
4. Request City Commission adopt Proposed Resolution No. 2025-R-1
