Summary Explanation and Background

 

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

 

(A)                     PSUT-24-02 “Lift Station SCADA Conversion”

The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking proposals from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, and incidentals for the Pembroke Pines Lift Station SCADA Conversion as shown in the associated drawings and specifications.

 

Some of the key components of this project are for the awarded vendor to:

 

1.                     Replace the existing VTSCADA with a new primary server, a new secondary server, and a new server rack with all the associated peripherals.

2.                     Replace the existing VTSCADA software with the latest version for all servers.

3.                     Include a new VTSCADA solution to be integrated into the existing wall-mounted HMI/SCADA displays in the most cost-efficient manner, reusing existing hardware and reconfiguring hardware and screens, as necessary.

4.                     Provide all SCADA programming associated with the server replacement.

 

The aforementioned scope descriptions are a summary of the work needed for the project but are not intended to be all inclusive, thereby please reference Attachment D and E in conjunction to the requirements outline in this bid package for the full project requirements.

 

The need for the Lift Station Conversion arose due to the existing SCADA software and hardware  becoming outdated and not functioning in accordance with our current operations and specifications.

 

(B)                     TS-24-04 " Microsoft Enterprise Agreement"

The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking proposals from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide the requested annual renewal of Microsoft Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft Corporation for the City of Pembroke Pines’ Charter Schools in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation.

 

The City of Pembroke Pines’ Charter Schools utilizes a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) for Microsoft volume software licensing to support and manage all Windows desktops, laptops, and servers.  Software products licensed under the Microsoft EA contract include M365 (Desktop OS, Office 365), Windows Server, and Microsoft SQL.  The Microsoft EA allows the City of Pembroke Pines’ Charter Schools to create a common platform for simplified support and management through a single agreement.

 

(C)                     TS-24-05 “Cisco Infrastructure Hardware”

The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking proposals from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide the requested Cisco infrastructure hardware for the City of Pembroke Pines in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation. New hardware will be replacing aged and end of life (EOL) hardware at various locations throughout the City.

Core switches serve as gateways to City’s wide area network (WAN) or Internet and provide the final aggregation point for the network allowing for multiple aggregation modules to work together Cisco Catalyst 9500 series switches are the next generation of enterprise-class core and aggregation layer switches, supporting full programmability and serviceability including advanced routing and infrastructure services.

 

Cisco Catalyst C9200L-48P-4X-A edge switch

 

These switches connect end-user local area networks (LANs) to Internet service provider (ISP) networks. Cisco Catalyst C9200L-48P-4X-A series switches provide 48 ports, full PoE+, 4x10G uplink Switch, with Network Advantage software.

 

(D)                     TS-24-06 “Network Cameras”

The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking proposals from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide the requested network cameras to the Technology Services Department, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation.

 

(E)                     TS-24-07 “Milestone VMS”

The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking proposals from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide the requested Milestone Video Management System (VMS) renewal licenses for the City of Pembroke Pines, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation.

 

Milestone is a Video Management System (VMS) that is used throughout the City of Pembroke Pines and Pembroke Pines Charter Schools. Video Management Systems are used to organize video footage, search for specific incidents, and manage security components like cameras, video processing servers, and storage devices.

 

(F)                     CS-24-01 “Stage Curtains”

The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking proposals from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, for the removal and disposal of the main stage curtain and the installation of a new main stage curtain at the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center.

 

(G)                     Boiler Plate

This attachment is the standard boiler plate language that is used for the solicitations listed above.  It is attached to this agenda item separate from the solicitations to reduce the repetition of this item.
