SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
(A) TS-26-02 "SOPHOS LICENSE RENEWAL"
The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking bids from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide the requested Sophos 3-year license renewal for the City of Pembroke Pines’ Charter Schools, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation. Renewal will be for the following Sophos endpoint products:
Sophos Central MDR - Managed Detection and Response Complete (MDRCEU36AIREAA) - Next-gen Endpoint Protection with threat hunting capabilities, and a fully managed 24/7 Threat Hunting and Response service. Sophos MDR provides the Charter Schools with a 24/7 team of threat hunters and response experts who will: Proactively hunt for and validate potential threats and incidents, use all available information to determine the scope and severity of threats, apply the appropriate business context for valid threats, and initiate actions to remotely disrupt, contain, and neutralize threats.
(B) TS-26-03 "EXAGRID HARDWARE"
The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking bids from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide ExaGrid hardware, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation.
This procurement includes the replacement of existing end-of-life hardware to ensure continued reliability, performance, and supportability of the City’s backup infrastructure.
ExaGrid serves as the City’s dedicated backup storage and replication solution, designed to protect critical data assets. It securely maintains system backups, enables rapid data recovery when needed, and supports replication to enhance resilience and ensure the continuity of City operations.
(C) TS-26-04 "CISCO NETWORK"
The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking bids from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide the requested Cisco infrastructure hardware for the City of Pembroke Pines in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation. The Cisco Nexus N9K-C9504-B3-G is a modular data center switch designed to handle high-speed network traffic for large environments. It supports multiple line cards and high-capacity Ethernet connections, making it ideal for core, aggregation, or spine roles. The chassis is built with redundancy for key components like power and supervisors to ensure high availability. These units would replace end-of-life equipment at the City Center, improving performance, reliability, and long-term support for the City’s network infrastructure.
(D) PSUT-26-02 "30" PCCP SEWER FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT"
The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking bids from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to complete work that includes the replacement of a 30-inch pre-stressed concrete pipe (PCCP) sewer force main (FM) from Johnson Street to the termination of the PCCP FM near the intersection of Taft Street and NW 77th Way. The project includes approximately 1 mile of a newly constructed FM, including open cut installation of 8”, 10”, 12”, and 30’’ C900 PVC pipe and Horizontal Directional Drilling of 36” and 14” OD DR 11 HDPE, but not limited to pavement, sod, and driveway restoration, and abandonment of an existing force main, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation.
