MOTION TO APPROVE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) BETWEEN THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES AND HOLLYBROOK GOLF AND TENNIS CLUB CONDOMINIUM FOR THE ADDITION OF A BUS STOP IN HOLLYBROOK FOR THE CITY'S COMMUNITY SHUTTLE BUS BLUE ROUTE.

Summary Explanation and Background

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

1. At the request of the residents and administration of the Hollybrook Golf and Tennis Club, the City of Pembroke Pines will be adding a bus stop on the Blue Route within this active living condominium community at its clubhouse located at 900 S Hollybrook Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33025.

4. Broward County has requested that the City and Hollybrook enter this Memorandum prior to establishing the requested Bus Stop. The City’s Community Shuttle provides similar services to at least one (1) other private community within the City.

5. Pursuant to the MOU, Hollybrook shall create and establish the bus stop on the property in a manner that meets all standards and regulations, including those required by the Broward County Transit Design Standards and Guidelines, the Americans with Disability Act, the City's Code of Ordinances, and state and federal law and provide routine maintenance on the bus stop.

6. The City has a history of promoting the utilization of public transit and increased ridership for its Community Shuttle.
