SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. On December 18, 2024, the City Commission formally authorized the creation of We Love Pembroke Pines, Inc., a nonprofit organization established to support community engagement and enhancement initiatives. The City Commission also serves as the Board of Directors for this organization.
2. A draft Business Plan has been prepared and is currently under consideration by the Board of Directors. The Business Plan outlines initial program goals and includes a proposed startup budget of $35,000 to cover essential items such as insurance, basic supplies, and operational needs. At this time, no fundraising activities have been held, and the organization does not have sufficient funds to begin implementation.
3. Request that the City Commission consider approving a $35,000 donation to We Love Pembroke Pines, Inc. to support the initial execution of its Business Plan and to enable the organization to begin fulfilling its mission.
