PRESENTATION NO. 4: THE MAYOR WILL ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS OF THE PEMBROKE PINES ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS ANNUAL  "2026 ARBOR DAY” POSTER CONTEST.

 

Summary Explanation and Background

 

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

 

1. Each year, the City of Pembroke Pines holds an Arbor Day poster contest open to elementary school students.(Kindergarten thru 5th grade)

2. This years general Arbor Day theme of the contest -  Why/how trees help/enrich our environment.

 

3. The following schools participated in this years competition:

 

- Chapel Trail Elementary 

- Pasadena Lakes Elementary 

- Pembroke Pines Charter School - East Campus 

- Pembroke Pines Charter School - West Campus 

- Pembroke Pines/FSU Charter Elementary School 

- Pembroke Pines Elementary

-Pines Lakes Elementary School 

 

4. The Environmental Advisory Board at its April 7, 2026 reviewed the submissions and selected the winners for each grade.

 

5. All exhibits received have been displayed in the lobby at City Hall for the week.

 

6. Participation in the poster contest continues to grow year after year, thanks to the incredible dedication of our teachers, students, and school administrators.
