PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO 2025-02 IS AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT TO ENTER INTO SUB-SUBLEASE WITH HG PINES, LLC; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.


Summary Explanation and Background

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. On June 11, 2024, the City and HG Pines, LLC entered into an Agreement to Enter into Sub-Sublease (“Original Agreement”)

2. On September 18, 2024, the City Commission of the City of Pembroke Pines approved the First Amendment to Agreement to Enter into Sub-Sublease in order to extend the Review Period under the Original Agreement (“First Amendment”).

3. On November 20, 2024, the City Commission of the City of Pembroke Pines approved the Second Amendment to Agreement to Enter into Sub-Sublease in order to further extend the Review Period under the Original Agreement, as amended (“Second Amendment”).

4. The City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of the public to approve and authorize the execution of the Third Amendment to Agreement to Enter into Sub-Sublease in order to further extend the Review Period until March 31, 2025 under the Original Agreement, as amended.
