MOTION TO ADOPT PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2021-R-01.
PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2021-R-01 IS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SIGNING OF THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS AND ASSURANCES TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT), AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT AWARD FROM THE FDOT, AND THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES AND/OR EQUIPMENT, AND/OR EXPENDITURES OF GRANT FUNDS; DIRECTING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTION NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Summary Explanation and Background
SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center desires to submit a Grant Application to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in the amount of $227,710 that represents the purchase of two (2) buses with 18 standard seats and 2 wheelchair positions, equipped with cameras, radio and GPS equipment.
2. If Application Grant is awarded the City will match 10% of the total amount of $227,710. The 10% amount will be $22,771.
3. Requesting Commission approval for the submission of the FFY2021 Application.

FINANCIAL IMPACT DETAIL:
a) Initial Cost: $22,771 transfer from General Fund (if awarded).
b) Amount budgeted for this item in Account No: If and when grant is awarded it will be recorded in Fund 128-8004 - Community Bus Program Account 128-8001-5310.
