MOTION TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES AND THE FOP (GENERAL EMPLOYEES) FOR THE TERM OCTOBER 1, 2025 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2028.
Summary Explanation and Background
SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. Covered Members - Certain Full and Part Time General Employees.
2. Base Salary Merit Increase - 5.0% year one, 5.0% year two and 4.5% year three on October 1st of each year as long as a satisfactory or greater performance evaluation is provided to each Full Time Member.
3. Base Salary Merit Increase - 2.5% year one, 2.5% year two and 2.25% year three on October 1st of each year as long as a satisfactory or greater performance evaluation is provided to each Part Time Member.
4. Increase Minimum Salary Of Pay Grade - increase of the minimum and maximum of each pay grade on October 1st of each year.
5. Full Time Members who obtain 15 years of continuous service with the City will receive a 13% 401(a) contribution vs. 12%.
6. Full Time Members will be able to accumulate up to 240 sick leave hours vs. the current 200 hours. Any sick leave hours above 200 to a maximum of 240 hours (thus, up to 40 hours) of unused sick time at the end of the fiscal year will be paid out to the Member at their current salary.
7. Language Changes - some minor changes ”clean-up” to various other articles contained in the Agreement.
8. Ratification Vote By FOP Members - Passed by voting Members 42 for and 1 against.
