MOTION TO ADOPT PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO. 2025-R-47.
PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO. 2025-R-47 IS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA, APPROVING UPDATES TO THE 2025-2028 CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES COMMUNITY SHUTTLE OPERATIONS, TITLE VI PROGRAM PURSUANT TO FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION REQUIREMENTS; DIRECTING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTION NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. On November 2, 2022 with Resolution 2022-R-27, Title VI was presented at the commission meeting for review and approval.
2. The City of Pembroke Pines (City) has an agreement with both the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County and Broward County to provide senior transportation and fixed route transportation services respectively.
3. The City utilizes funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to assist in the operation of its senior transportation and fixed route transportation services.
4. The City as a sub-recipient of FTA funds, is required to adopt FTA Title VI Program Guidelines every three (3) years.
5. Title VI and the ADA Transportation Polices and Procedures have been revised as per FTA.
6. Requesting commission approval.
