Summary Explanation and Background

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

1. On November 2, 2022 with Resolution 2022-R-27, Title VI was presented at the commission meeting for review and approval.

2. The City of Pembroke Pines (City) has an agreement with both the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County and Broward County to provide senior transportation and fixed route transportation services respectively.

3. The City utilizes funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to assist in the operation of its senior transportation and fixed route transportation services.

4. The City as a sub-recipient of FTA funds, is required to adopt FTA Title VI Program Guidelines every three (3) years.

5. Title VI and the ADA Transportation Polices and Procedures have been revised as per FTA.

6. Requesting commission approval.
