SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The current agreement JA123-10-2023 between the City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center and the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County, Inc. will expire on December 31, 2023.
2. On January 18, 2023 with agenda 23-0009, revised agreement JA123-10-2023 was approved.
3. The submission of the 2024 application represents the continuation of services for the period of January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 in the total amount of $462,059.00.
Funds are distributed as follows:
$ 329,464.00 Federal Funds -Title IIIB
$ 43,867.00 Local Matching Funds -Title IIIB
$ 88,728.00 Federal Funds -Title IIIE
$ 462,059.00 Total Funds IIIB and IIIE
The City will contribute a total of $95,285.00 via In-kind Revenue.
4. The City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center has received the award of this application with agreement JA124-10-2024. The services provided under Titles IIIB and IIIE are: Adult Daycare, Counseling Individual, Counseling Group, Public Education, Recreation, Homemaker, Personal Care, Respite, Caregiver Training and Support, Screening and Assessment.
