Title

MOTION TO APPROVE THE MASTER AGREEMENT JM026-10-2028 BETWEEN THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES/SOUTHWEST FOCAL POINT SENIOR CENTER AND THE AREA AGENCY ON AGING OF BROWARD COUNTY, INC., FOR THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 1, 2026, TO DECEMBER 31, 2028.

Summary Explanation and Background

1.  The current Master Agreement JM020-10-2023 expired on December 31, 2025.  This agreement was presented and approved at the Commission meeting of December 14, 2022 with agenda item # 22-0907.

2.  The Master Agreement incorporates the services specified in each contract agreement between the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County, Inc. and the City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center. 

3.  The following are the current standard agreements the City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center has with the Area Agency of Broward County, Inc.

- JA125-10-2025 Older Americans Act Titles IIIB and IIIE in the amount of $462,059.  Contract term: January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025.

- JL025-10-2026 Local Service Provider in the amount of $216,155.  Contract term: July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026.

- JP025-10-2026 Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program in the amount of $24,769.06. Contract term: July 1, 2025 - June 15, 2026.

4.  This Master Contract Agreement JM026-10-2028 will be included by reference in all standard contracts/agreements mentioned above.

5.  Requesting Commission approval.
