SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION / BACKGROUND:

 

                     Cuhaci Peterson, agent, is requesting approval of color repainting with current brand standards for Walmart #5932, located at 12800 Pines Boulevard. The building was approved in 1993 through site plan SP 93-48 as a Home Depot. In 2010, through SP 2010-07 the building was repurposed for the current tenant Walmart.

                     At the February 2026 Planning and Zoning Board Meeting Walmart was granted ZV 2025-24-25, which allows for enhanced lighting primarily in the areas of the parking lot which contain the online order pickup spaces and electric vehicle charging spaces.

BUILDINGS / STRUCTURES:

 

                     The applicant proposes the following changes:

 

o                     Main Body: Dark Gray Color Standard Match HC-167 Amherst Gray (P49E)

o                     Store Entry Band: True Blue (P218E)

o                     Accents: Safety Yellow (P5E), Safety Red (P21E), Cream (P33E)

o                     Monument Sign: PMS 2728C Blue, White Letters, Dark Gray Color Standard Match HC-167 Amherst Gray (P49E), Duranodic Bronze (P200E)

o                     Storage Building: Dark Gray Color Standard Match HC-167 Amherst Gray (P49E)

o                     Dumpster Enclosure: Dark Gray Color Standard Match HC-167 Amherst Gray (P49E)

 

                     No other site modifications are being proposed at this time. Building signs shall remain compliant with the current uniform sign plan.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

 

                     Staff has reviewed the proposed changes and finds that the proposal meets code requirements. Staff therefore recommends approval of this application.
