SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The current Agreement JP116-10-2017 approved at the Commission Meeting of April 6, 2016 will expire on March 31, 2017. Contract JP117-10-2018 represents continuation of services for an additional one (1) year term for the period of April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. This Contract is designed to assist low-income household with at least one (1) member 60 years of age or older experiencing a heating or cooling emergency.
2. Eligible EHEAP applications are eligible for one summer crisis benefit from April 1 to September 30 and (1) winter crisis benefit from October 1 to March 31 each year to a maximum of $600 per crisis.
3. The total amount awarded is $30,250, which includes Administration Cost in the amount of $2,764.
4. Requesting Commission approval.
