MOTION TO ADOPT PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2019-R-01.
PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2019-R-01 IS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SIGNING AND SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS AND ASSURANCES TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (“FDOT”), AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT AWARD FROM THE FDOT, AND THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES AND/OR EQUIPMENT, AND/OR EXPENDITURES OF GRANT FUNDS; DIRECTING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTION NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Summary Explanation and Background
SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center desires to apply for a Florida Department of Transportation Grant in the amount of $188,106 that represents the purchase of: two (2) buses with 12 standard seats and 2 wheelchair positions with cameras, radio and GPS Equipment for an estimated cost of $188,106.
2. If Grant is awarded the City will match 10% of $188,106 or $18,810 of total amount.
3. Requesting Commission approval for the submission of the FFY2019 Application.
Item has been reviewed by the Commission Auditor and approved for the Agenda.
Financial Impact
FINANCIAL IMPACT DETAIL:
a) Initial Cost: Transfer from General Fund in the amount of $18,810.
b) Amount budgeted for this item in Account No: If and when grant is awarded it will be recorded in the Fund 128 - Community Bus Program (Account 128-8001-5310).
