Summary Explanation and Background
SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. On February 21, 2018, the City Commission approved the findings and recommendation of the Evaluation Committee for RE-17-05 “Design Criteria Professional - To Prepare a DCP for construction of a Recreation Center at William B. Armstrong Dream Park and awarded the project to Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC and also directed the City Manager to negotiate a contract for services.
2. On April 16, 2018 the City Manager executed an agreement with Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC for $10,000 to begin phase one of the Design Criteria Package by developing schematic designs for Administration to consider. Administration wanted to see a visual concept and design for the Recreation Center prior to developing the details of a design criteria package.
3. Attached as Exhibit 2 are renderings of the conceptual design completed by Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC.
4. Phase two of the agreement will include Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC completing the design critiera package to be included in a future procurement process to obtain a contractor to complete construction.
5. Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC has met with City Administration and has negotiated the first amendment to the original agreement in the amount of $45,500 to complete phase two.
6. The creation of the Design Criteria Package is to be completed by March 16, 2019.
7. Request Commission to approve the execution of the first amendment agreement with Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC in the amount of $45,500 for the creation of a Design Criteria Package for the construction of a recreation center at William B. Armstrong Dream Park as described in RFQ # RE-17-05. ...
