SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The Mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is to end drunk driving. Help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking. Mothers Against Drunk Driving is a nonprofit organization in the United States and Canada that seeks to stop drunk driving, support those affected by drunk driving , prevent underage drinking, and strive for stricter impaired driving policy, whether that impairment is caused by alcohol or any other drug.
2. MADD is looking for a location in west Broward County to hold monthly Impact Panels. This program saves lives and is extremely important in preventing recidivism.
3. The MADD Organization will utilize The Carl Shechter/Southwest Focal Point Community Center to hold monthly intervention program meetings.
4. Requesting Commission approval.
