SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The office of the Attorney General, State of Florida, has awarded the City Police Department $22,167.00 for FY2020 to continue funding the part-time Assistant Victim Advocate
2. This is a continuation of the 2018-2019 VOCA program.
3. There is a 20% match required of the total VOCA project. The Police Department will meet this through the in-kind donation of volunteer service hours contributed by the Victim Services Unit, in an amount totaling $5,541.75. The total VOCA project equals the budget request ($22,167.00) plus the required match ($5,541.75). VOCA project = $27,708.75 ($22,167.00 + $5,541.75).
4. This funding cycle will commence on October 1st, 2019 and end on September 30th, 2020.
5. The agreement has been approved as to form by legal.
