IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $41,431.82 UTILIZING THE STATE OF FLORIDA ALTERNATE CONTRACT # 43211500-WSCA-15-ACS VIA THE FLORIDA NASPO VALUEPOINT NETAPP MNWNC-121 PURSUANT TO SECTION 35.18(C)(5) OF THE CITY'S CODE OF ORDINANCES.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. On June 18, 2014, the City Commission awarded TS-14-06 "NetApp FAS8040 High Availability Centralized Storage Solution" to the most responsible/responsive bidder, Adcap Network Systems Inc. in the amount of $284,921.37.
2. The purpose of this solicitation was to seek proposals from qualified firms to provide the City with a NetApp FAS8040 High Availability Centralized Storage Solution.
3. The NetApp storage system provides centralized data storage to all City workstations, mobile devices and applications for public safety, utilities and other key departments through the existing City-wide fiber optic network. The NetApp storage system provides a collection of high performance disk drives that are organized into a single fault-tolerant and redundant system that can be logically partitioned and managed. Servers and workstations connect to this storage system through high-speed network interfaces. Logical drives are created on the NetApp and function as local disk drives to the city servers and workstations. This approach is commonly used in nearly all data centers to increase flexibility, improve performance and reliability while lowering costs and increasing efficiency.
4. The initial purchase included an initial three year support and maintenance term expiring in 2017.
5. On September 19, 2017 the City Commission approved the purchase of the renewal of the annual support and maintenance for the City's Netapp FAS8040A Series Data Storage System from Presidio Network Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $36,772.84 utilizing the State of Florida Alternate Contract # 43211500-WSCA-15-ACS via the Florida NASPO Valuepoint NetApp # MNWNC-121.
6. On June 6, 2018 the City Commission approved the purchase of the renewal of the annual support and maintenance for the City's Netapp FAS8040A Series Data Storage System from Presidio Network Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $37,002.68 utilizing the State of Florida Alternate Contract # 43211500-WSCA-15-ACS via the Florida NASPO Valuepoint NetApp # MNWNC-121.
7. The Technology Services Department would like to renew the NetApp support and maintenance period for an additional one year period.
8. The State of Florida utilizes an Alternate Contract Source (ACS) # 43211500-WSCA-15-ACS for the purchase of "Computer Equipment, Peripherals & Services" for State of Florida Agencies and other eligible users utilizing the Florida NASPO ValuePoint NetApp # MNWNC-121 for the purchase of "Computer Equipment, Peripherals & Services."
9. The State of Florida contract has numerous vendors that can be utilized for various products and services.
10. The Technology Services Department has identified and selected Presidio Networked Solutions, Inc. as the provider on the State Contract.
11. The Technology Services Department has utilized Presidio Networked Solutions, Inc., for various projects throughout the City and has been satisfied with their services.
12. The Technology Services Department has obtained quote from Presidio Networked Solutions, Inc., via the Alternate Contract Source utilized by the State of Florida, in an amount of $41,431.82.
13. Pursuant to Section 35.18(C)(5) of the City's Code of Ordinances, "Utilization of other governmental agencies' contracts. Commodities or services that are the subject of contracts with the state its political subdivisions or other governmental entities including the United States government, are exempt from the competitive procurement process;".
14. Request Commission to approve the purchase of the renewal of the annual support and maintenance of the City’s NetApp FAS8040A Series data storage system from Presidio Networked Solutions, Inc., in the amount of $41,431.82 utilizing the State of Florida Alternate Contract # 43211500-WSCA-15-ACS via the Florida NASPO Valuepoint NetApp # MNWNC-121 pursuant to Section 35.18(C)(5) of the City's Code of Ordinances.
