Summary Explanation and Background

 

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

1.  On April 19, 2017, the City Commission awarded FI-16-03 “Fire Rescue Ambulance” to REV RTC d/b/a/ Hall-Mark RTC and authorized the purchase of two (2) fire rescue ambulances for the 2016-17 budget year while also entering into a three (3) year agreement, through April 18, 2020, that would allow for the Fire Department to buy additional Fire Rescue Ambulances in future years, if needed.

 

2. The purpose of this purchase is to provide the Fire Department with a Fire Rescue Ambulance that will meet their current needs at the specified cost at the discretion of the City Manager and with the approval of City Commission.

 

3.  The Fire Department has included in their 2019-20 fiscal year budget, the replacement of one (1) fire rescue ambulance. The new fire rescue ambulance will replace a 2010 Horton Unit # 7716 which has reached the end of its useful life.

 

4.  The agreement between the City and REV RTC d/b/a/ Hall-Mark RTC, includes the following prices for future purchases throughout the term of the contract:
