MOTION TO APPROVE THE SCHOOLS SURVEILLANCE CAMERA SYSTEM ACCESS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES AND SCHOOL BOARD OF BROWARD COUNTY (SBBC).

 

Summary Explanation and Background

 

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

1.  The City desires it's police personnel to have access to real-time video feeds and recorded video feeds from SBBC's surveillance camera systems in times of immediate need for the health and safety of personnel and students.

 

2.  The agreement outlines approved usage requirements, audit procedures, and authorized access and/or restrictions during emergency situations.  Video access for non-emergency situations will require approval by SBBC and a subpoena in certain instances.

 

3.  General surveillance of SBBC grounds/facilities are prohibited.

 

4.  The term of this agreement will be for three years and will conclude on September 30, 2022.
