(A) RFQ # PSEN-19-10 STREET LIGHTING INVENTORY AND ILLUMINATION LEVELS STUDY

(B) RFQ # PSUT-20-01 DESIGN & POST DESIGN SERVICES: RAW WATER SUPPLY LINE (BETWEEN WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND EASTERN WELLFIELD) & 30" FORCE MAIN RELOCATION

 

Summary Explanation and Background

 

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

1.  The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking qualification statements from qualified firms to provide professional services in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in the following solicitation(s) and in accordance with the CCNA - Florida Statute 287.055.

 

2.  This process will NOT preclude any consultants, including the thirty-five (35) consultants in the current Pool of Professional Service Providers that were previously approved by the City Commission on September 17, 2018, for the ten (10) different professional service disciplines, from submitting a response to this solicitation and being selected for award of a negotiated contract.

 

3.  Request the City Commission to approve the request to advertise the following solicitation(s) in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055, Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) solicitation:

 

(A) RFQ # PSEN-19-10 "Street Lighting Inventory and Illumination Study"

The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking qualification statements from qualified firms to conduct a street lighting inventory and illumination levels study, and also develop a policy on illumination levels for the City. 

 

(B) RFQ # PSUT-20-01 "Design & Post Design Services: Raw Water Supply Line (Between Water Treatment Plant and Eastern Wellfield) & 30" Force Main Relocation"

The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking qualification statements from qualified firms that are licensed in the State of Florida to provide design engineering, permitting and post design services for:

- The installation of a new Raw Water Main from the Eastern Wellfield located at 7190 Johnson Street, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 to the Water Treatment Plant located at 7960 Johnson Street, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024. 

- The rerouting of a 30” sewer force main located in the vicinity of the water treatment plant at 7960 Johnson Street, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024. The existing force main runs beneath the water treatment plant and needs to be relocated.

 

(C) Boiler Plate

This attachment is the standard boiler plate language that is used for the solicitations listed above.  It is attached to this agenda item separate from the solicitations to reduce the repetition of this item.

Funds are available in account # 100-541-6003-31100 (Professional Services - Engineering).

 

(B) RFQ # PSUT-20-01 "Design & Post Design Services: Raw Water Supply Line (Between Water Treatment Plant and Eastern Wellfield) & 30" Force Main Relocation"

Funds are not currently budgeted for this project.  After a contract is negotiated, an agenda item will be brought to Commission for approval with a request for funding.
