SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. This purchase is for annual Microsoft Net New Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) for the City of Pembroke Pines, Florida Charter Schools.
2. EES is an easy, cost-effective licensing offer that provides academic institutions with assured coverage for desktop platform products with one annual employee count, the flexibility to add products in any quantity, and simplified asset management.
3. The State of Florida utilizes State Term Contract #43230000-15-02, “Licensing Solution Providers of Microsoft Software and Services”. This State Term Contract permits Eligible Users to purchase Microsoft software license (perpetual and subscription) agreements, under which the Microsoft Licensing Solutions Provider (LSP) has the authority to sell and manage software licenses and maintenance.
4. The State of Florida Department of Management Services procured SHI International Corp as the SOLE authorized Microsoft reseller for the State of Florida under term contract: Licensing Solutions Providers (LSP) of Microsoft and services, #43230000-15-02.
5. The Technology Services Department has obtained a quote from SHI International via the State Term Contract utilized by the State of Florida, in an amount of $71,441.68, which has items at or below the State Contract pricing.
