MOTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE THE FOLLOWING SOLICITATION(S) IN ACCORDANCE WITH FLORIDA STATUTE 287.055, CONSULTANT'S COMPETITIVE NEGOTIATION ACT (CCNA) SOLICITATION:
(A) RFQ # PSUT-20-03 DESIGN & POST DESIGN SERVICES: WWTP WEST & EAST SURGE TANK REHABILITATION

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking qualification statements from qualified firms to provide professional services in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in the following solicitation(s) and in accordance with the CCNA - Florida Statute 287.055.
2. This process will NOT preclude any consultants, including the thirty-five (35) consultants in the current Pool of Professional Service Providers that were previously approved by the City Commission on September 17, 2018, for the ten (10) different professional service disciplines, from submitting a response to this solicitation and being selected for award of a negotiated contract.
3. Request the City Commission to approve the request to advertise the following solicitation(s) in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055, Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) solicitation:
(A) RFQ # PSUT-20-03 "Design & Post Design Services: WWTP West & East Surge Tank Rehabilitation"
The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking qualification statements from qualified firms to provide design and post design services for the repair of the structural steel, where required, and dome connections (bearing plates) at both the West and East Surge Tanks at the Waste Water Treatment Plant located at 13955 Pembroke Road, Pembroke Pines, FL 33029.
(B) Boiler Plate
This attachment is the standard boiler plate language that is used for the solicitations listed above. It is attached to this agenda item separate from the solicitations to reduce the repetition of this item.
Financial Impact
FINANCIAL IMPACT DETAIL:
(A) RFQ # PSUT-20-03 "Design & Post Design Services: WWTP West & East Surge Tank Rehabilitation"
Funds are not currently budgeted for this project. After a contract is negotiated, an agenda item will be brought to Commission for approval with a request for funding.
