MOTION TO ADOPT PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2020-R-03.
PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2020-R-03 IS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SIGNING AND SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS AND ASSURANCES TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (“FDOT”), AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT AWARD FROM THE FDOT, AND THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES AND/OR EQUIPMENT, AND/OR EXPENDITURES OF GRANT FUNDS; DIRECTING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTION NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Summary Explanation and Background
SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center desires to apply for the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") Grant in the amount of $224,503.00 that represents the purchase of two (2) buses with 16 standard seats and 2 wheelchair positions equipped with cameras, radio and GPS equipment for an estimated total cost of $224,503.
2. If Grant is awarded the City will match 10% of $224,503 or $22,450 of total amount.
3. Requesting Commission approval for the submission of the FFY2020 Application.
Item has been reviewed by the Commission Auditor and approved for the Agenda.
