STUDENT AMBASSADORS TO THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES

The Education Advisory Board will announce a competition for high school juniors to vie for one of twelve positions as Student Ambassadors from their high schools to the City of Pembroke Pines.

Criteria for the Competition: This contest is open to all high school juniors from the City of Pembroke Pines who attends a designated area high school. Entrants must be solid citizens who attend school regularly and strive to learn more about government. Each school may set their selection criteria and select one male student and one female student to serve as Ambassadors from their school to the City. When selected, students must submit permission statements from their parents. Parents will state that named student has their permission to serve as a Student Ambassador and that the parents will be responsible for transporting the student to City Hall and for picking up the student at the conclusion of this event.

Selection of Student Ambassadors shall be by each high school; we are looking for students sincerely interested in government.  Each school shall select one male and one female student to serve as Ambassadors to our City for school year 2019.

Student Ambassadors will report at a later date to their schools, hopefully at an assembly, and to the Education Advisory Board about their experience in learning about local government.
