SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. Proposed Resolution No. 2020-R-26 is a resolution adopting the budget for the Florida State University (FSU) Sponsored City of Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary School for the fiscal year July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 (See Exhibit B. 2020-R-26 FSU Elementary Resolution).
2. On June 8, 2020, the FSU Elementary School Advisory Board unanimously approved with no recommendations the FY 2020-2021 proposed balanced budget as presented to them by City Administration (See Exhibit C. FSU Elementary June 2020 Meeting Summary).
3. The FSU Sponsored Charter Elementary School total budget is $8,333,716.
4. The cost of lease payments, maintenance, transportation, food service, personnel, capital and operating expenses are all covered by total revenues from federal/state grants, state shared revenues, and other sources.
5. All State and local shared revenue projections are based on the proposed Education Bills approved during the 2020 Senate and House regular legislative sessions.
6. Recommend Commission adopt Proposed Resolution No. 2020-R-26 approving the budget for the FSU Sponsored Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary School in the amount of
$8,333,716.
