Summary Explanation and Background

COVID-19 EXECUTIVE ORDER ON VIRTUAL MEETINGS
Governor Ron DeSantis’ Executive Order 20-246 extends the virtual quorum to November 1, 2020. Commissioners do not need to meet physically to achieve quorum under this order pertaining to conducting local government meetings while under the public health emergency related to the spread of Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). In accordance with the CDC guidelines regarding public gatherings, this City Commission meeting shall be conducted through the use of communications media technology (“CMT”), and live-streamed from the Charles F. Dodge City Center, City Commission Chambers on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 4:00 PM.

PUBLIC COMMENT
The virtual meeting platform is available for public access. Any member of the public wishing to comment publicly on any matter, including on items on the agenda, may submit their comments by email to the City Clerk at publiccomments@ppines.com or by using the call-in number +1-408-418-9388 United States Toll, Access code 173 508 7422. All comments submitted by email shall be made a part of the public record. All public comments, whether called in via phone or read from an email by the Clerk, are limited to 3 minutes each.
