Summary Explanation and Background

 

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

1.                     The office of the Attorney General, State of Florida, has awarded the City Police Department $14,050.00 for FY2021 to continue funding the part-time Assistant Victim Advocate

2.                     This is a continuation of the 2019-2020 VOCA program.

3.                     There is a 20% match required of the total VOCA project. The Police Department will meet this through the in-kind donation of volunteer service hours contributed by the Victim Services Unit, in an amount totaling $3,512.50. The total VOCA project equals the approved budget ($14,050.00) plus the required match ($3,512.50). VOCA project = $17,562.50 ($14,050.00 + $3,512.50).

4.                     This funding cycle will be retroactive to and commence on October 1st, 2020 and end on September 30th, 2021.

5.                     The agreement has been approved as to form by legal.
