SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The current agreement between the City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center will expire December 31, 2020.
2. On October 7, 2020 with Agenda Item #20-0697 the City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center submitted an application to the Areawide on Aging of Broward County, Inc. for the Older Americans Act Supportive Services Titles IIIB & IIIE for the fiscal year of January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 for a total amount of $462,063.
3. The City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center has received the award of this application. The services provided under Titles IIIB & IIIE are: Adult Day Care, Counseling Individual, Counseling Group, Public Education, Recreation, Homemaker, Personal Care, Respite and Caregiver Support Group.
4. Requesting Commission approval.
