SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. On September 16, 2020 the City Commission adopted Ordinance 1949, which provided an update to the City Code pertaining to City Commission membership on the City's Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) as required by Florida Statutes 420.9076.
2. The City Commission at same meeting appointed Commissioner Siple as primary (regular) member to the AHAC with Commissioner Good being appointed as the alternate member. This action was completed by Motion, with the term of appointment of one year.
3. At end of the February 3, 2021 City Commission meeting, during "New Business", Commissioner Siple requested to become the alternate member, with Commissioner Good taking over as the primary (regular) member.
4. The City Commission collectively approved Commissioner Siple's request.
5. As the original appointments were approved by motion and scheduled on an agenda, a new motion must be considered formally appointing Commissioner Good as the primary (regular) member and Commissioner Siple as the alternate member for the remainder of the one-year appointment.
6. Administration, recommends approving a motion to appoint Commissioner Good as a regular member of the AHAC and Commissioner Siple as the alternate member of AHACfor the remainder of the one year appointment.
