PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2020-R-44 IS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA, VACATING THE LIFT STATION UTILITY EASEMENT AT MERRICK SQUARE PREVIOUSLY DEDICATED BY THE SCHOOL BOARD OF BROWARD COUNTY AND RECORDED IN OFFICIAL RECORDS BOOK 39635, PAGE 1042 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT “A”, ATTACHED HERETO AND INCORPORATED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR RECORDATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. Pulice Land Surveyors, Inc. represents the Broward County School Board, owner of the subject parcel, in their application for the Merrick Square development at the southeast corner of Pines Boulevard and SW 172nd Avenue.
2. The existing lift station in the northeast corner of the property is proposed to be relocated approximately 50 feet to the southeast to an area where it is not in conflict with the proposed entrance features.
3. The existing lift station utility easement is to be released and a new lift station easement dedicated to the City by the replat.
4. We hereby request that the existing lift station utility easement as recorded in Official Records Book 39635, page 1042, of the public records of Broward County, be released by the City of Pembroke Pines.
5. Request City Commission approval of Resolution No. 2020-R-44, a resolution of the City of Pembroke Pines, Florida approving the vacating of the lift station utility easement at Merrick Square previously dedicated by the School Board of Broward County and recorded in official records Book 39635, Page 1042 of the Public Records of Broward County, Florida.
