1. The City of Pembroke Pines Fire Department is requesting the authorization to purchase Fire Rescue Medical Supplies and Equipment for fiscal year 2021-2022 from:

2. The Fire Department currently purchases the majority of their Fire Rescue Medical Supplies and Equipment from the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO). The approval of this request will allow the Fire Department to purchase those items that BSO no longer carries, or for items which are out of stock.

 

3. On April 1, 2021, Eagle County Paramedic Services, as lead agency for Savvik Buying Group, entered into a three (3) year agreement commencing on June 1, 2021 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period with Henry Schein.

 

4. On April 1, 2021, Eagle County Paramedic Services, as lead agency for Savvik Buying Group, entered into a three (3) year agreement commencing on June 1, 2021 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period with Medline Industries, Inc.

 

5. Request Commission to approve the purchase of fire rescue medical supplies and equipment from Henry Schein for a total amount not to exceed $38,710, utilizing the Savvik Buying Group contract #202102, from Medline Industries, Inc. for a total amount not to exceed $29,470, utilizing the Savvik Buying Group contract #202102 for fiscal year 2021-2022 pursuant to Section 35.18(c)(6) of the City's Code of Ordinances.
