MOTION TO ADOPT PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2023-R-01.
PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2023-R-01 IS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SIGNING OF THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS AND ASSURANCES TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT), AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT AWARD FROM THE FDOT, AND THE PURCHASE OF TWO VEHICLES AND/OR EQUIPMENT OF GRANT FUNDS; DIRECTING THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS TO TAKE AND ALL ACTION NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Summary Explanation and Background
SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. The City of Pembroke Pines/Southwest Focal Point Senior Center desires to submit a Grant Application to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in the approximate amount of $295,910 for the purchase of two (2) buses that incorporate a conventional wheel chair lift with a minimum of two wheel chair positions, equipped with cameras, radio and GPS equipment.
2. If Application Grant is awarded the City will match 10% of the total amount of $295,910. The 10% amount will be $29,591.
3. Requesting Commission approval for the execution and submission of the FFY2024/YR49 Application.
