PROPOSED RESOLUTION 2024-R-08 IS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, THE VICE MAYOR, THE CITY MANAGER, THE CITY CLERK AND THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO SIGN VOUCHERS AND CHECKS, TO MAKE DEPOSITS AND WITHDRAWALS, AND TO AUTHORIZE TRANSACTIONS ON INVESTMENTS PURSUANT TO THE CITY’S INVESTMENT POLICY ORDINANCE AND AS PROVIDED BY LAW; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. This Resolution authorizes the Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Manager, City Clerk and Finance Director to sign vouchers, checks investment instructions and other deposit and withdrawal instructions.
2. Two signatures are required for all transactions.
3. A new authorization resolution is required as a result of the appointment of Commissioner Thomas Good, Jr. as Vice Mayor for 2024-2025.
4. Recommend adoption of Proposed Resolution No. 2024-R-08.
